Vegas Bound: January 2020 Guide

Welcome to 2020! May this year bring you all the things you have set out for yourself. Hopefully, that includes lots of Vegas time. This list does not include everything that is happening here regularly like the Cirque du solei shows, the daily free shows, sights and things like that. I've just got the big and noteworthy things that are here for the moment and all the club events I could stand to type up. If you are planning a vacation or staycation, book your hotel with my team. We keep rates 20%-30% off nationally advertised rates. I also have rates in cities outside of Las Vegas, so check with us for all of your hotel needs.

As of right now, I'm looking at weekend rates of $73 per night+ taxes and fees at the Planet Hollywood for their standard rooms (Ultra Hip King). If a budget is not how you do Vegas, I recommend the Ultra Panorama Suite at $676 per night +taxes and fees. Check the rates for your travel dates, and book with me today.

Here's what we have going on to start the year.

EVENTS:

  • FIRST FRIDAY - Friday, January 1st
    • Check out the First Friday of the DECADE here in Downtown Las Vegas with our monthly festival featuring local art & products, food trucks & tents, street performers, live music on two stages, the First Friday photo booth, and more.
  • CES - January 7 - 10th
    • The Consumer Electronics Show from the Consumer Technology Association is a yearly gathering of all those on the cutting edge of the tech industry. Get up close and personal with the creators that are shaping and innovating the future today. From the cars that'll be driving us tomorrow to what's on the cutting edge of the gaming industry. This is a trade-only show, so if you aren't currently in the tech industry or the media it'll be REALLY hard for you to get in. BUT if you're trying to break into the tech industry, this is the perfect time to come to town and go to the preshow mixers and after parties and casually run into the industry leaders.
  • UFC 246 - Saturday, January 18th
    • Welterweight Bout between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone. Tickets starting at $370 through $6,000 per person for the VIP Champion VIP Experience with ring side seats.
  • Calibash - Saturday, January 25th
    • Last year Calibash shut Vegas DOWN and had everyone singing in Spanish. This year we are expecting nothing less. Line Up Subject to Change* Featuring Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Natti Natasha, Lunay, Sech, Myke Towers and more.
  • Tyler Henry - January 25th
    • Tyler Henry is the "Hollywood Medium" from E! If you've ever watched the show you've seen him give closure and maybe even finish the story for lots of famous families. He has a live show called"Hope, Healing, and Closure" where he will be explaining what it is he does, how it affects his life and doing live readings and QA sessions.

Why Vacations Are So Important

Lots of us have vision boards of our ideal vacations, follow lifestyle travelers on social media or look up flights to our perfect destination only to never actually go for it...then never take a vacation at all! We might even look at those "professional vacationers" and think that could never be us...Well it can, and for so many reasons, it SHOULD be us. One of those reasons is stress. I am a stress magnet. Something goes wrong and I am instantly stressed TF out! Deadlines are approaching - I tense up, or I have to work with someone I don't vibe with and my whole situation is just wrong for the rest of the project. You know what one thing we can all do to decrease the amount of stress we have? Vacation - Stay-cation, whatever you can do, just get away and breath some new air! Stress is just one of many reasons to take vacations. If you have a job that requires creativity, taking a vacation will remove the "crunch time - deadline" stress, and allow your ...

Skin Deep: Lancome Teint Idole

Know what your favorite foundation is? I thought I did...and then Influenster sent me a lovely care package that they call a VoxBox, filled with Lancome products that rocked my world. That being said...I have new favorites. I don't even know if it's fair to use the word favorite anymore now that they change with every new package I receive! I'm calling them my top 10s now, and my Lancome Teint Idole products are at the top. Concealer : The concealer I got is Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage in 435 Suede (W). This concealer didn't come here to play games! I used it on my under eye area to brighten as well as cover up some redness from blemishes and acne scars. The product is powerful, so a little bit went a long way. On my under eye, I typically have issues with concealers being thick and ending up super cakey looking under my eyes, not this concealer! Camouflage is the perfect name. It slipped in, covered up my dark circles and was completely unno...

Watch Next: BLEACH Live Action on Netflix

BLEACH - Live Action Movie Let's talk Netflix! I spend so much time streaming my favorite shows and movies it is absolutely crazy. I'm sure if Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime (yes I have all of them) decided to tell me how many hours a month I spend using their streaming services it would be embarrassing. So, I totally know what's poppin on the streaming services and am more than happy to help you find your next entertainment title! Today, I'm telling you enough to get you excited but not spoil BLEACH! Bleach was originally a manga (I never read it) then it became a TV series aka an Anime. I am a HUGE fan of the series and have watched the whole thing like 3 times on crunchy roll (Yes, I have that too). If you decide you like the movie, I 100% recommend you watch the series. Let me reel in my fangirl and tell you the basics: The main character, Ichigo is just a regular-degular 15 year old (Who looks NOTHING like a 15-year-old in the movie nor the a...

Why I Meditate

I love meditation. My life has totally turned around since I started taking time to be still and turn inward instead of always focusing so hard outward. There's no pressure to meditation, you can meditate for as long or as quickly as you'd like. You have no one to be accountable to, no one to impress, nothing to do but focus on yourself and take a moment for self-care. I started meditating probably about 9 years ago (don't do that math), but I didn't start doing it regularly until the last 3 years. It gives me the time to STOP reflecting on the day, stop thinking back on things I could have done differently, stop planning for the future and just be present. I practice some different energy healing modalities such as Reiki & the Seraphim Blueprint and use crystals and anything else that vibes with me to get in the zone. When I first started, I loved using guided meditations to "clear my chakras" or just talk me through relaxation and give my ...

Nikki On Vegas: The New Launch

Welcome to the new Nikki On Vegas Blog. I've had some huge changes in my life in the past year and a half that I needed to reflect into my online presence. The New New   Get a similar sweater dress here. Size up for maternity. About a year and a half ago, I was blogging regularly, all over social media and completely content to keep blogging specifically about Vegas and helping people have their best vacations ever. Then I got pregnant! I had a super difficult pregnancy and couldn't keep up with the lifestyle I had before at all. Since having my beautiful, amazing, miracle baby I realized that I have SO MUCH MORE that I want to talk about, share, and learn. It took me WAY too long to figure out how to do that and still provide the Vegas info, reviews, tips and tricks that I love so much. But! I'm back, the Vegas is still here, I've just expanded to much much more.  All of my social media will remain @NikkiOnVegas, so kee...
