MTV Movie Awards 2019: Vegas Faves and Looks I Love

Any MTV Awards show has such a huge place in my heart! I just remember being young and thinking how exciting it was to watch all my favorite celebrities getting trophies. All the performances and then getting to talk to my friends about it at school the next day! Well, now we have Twitter to instantly connect to everyone, see behind the scenes, all the processes and relive every moment we loved whenever we want! It's a whole new world now, and I'm carving out my little slice with my first live event coverage blog!

I loved the low key theme of this year's show was to love yourself, dream big and be kind to people! Jada MOVED me so much when she spoke about those internal trails, and The Rock is always such a beautiful source of inspiration. While all of that was amazing and beautiful, what I'm here to talk about today is Red Carpet Love! Here's a quick list of the looks I loved, and who we love to see here in Vegas.

Jada took this year's trail blazer with the red table talk being her current center piece. I think she looked ABSOLUTELY fabulous on the carpet.

Hormone monsters!! I SCREAMED! I am definitely a huge fan of animation and seeing those characters physically out in the world makes me beyond happy!

Tiffany Haddish worked this! Every picture I saw of her in this gown was amazing. I love her vibe, and that she is so free to be herself on any red carpet.

MJ Rodriguez immediately makes me think of she wildly dope TV series POSE that I've been watching the past couple weeks on Netflix and I just LOVE the cut of this SUPER V here!

Sydney Sweeney had on my favorite dress of the day! When I have my first gown customized I'm totally checking back to this exact look for inspiration. Gorgeous.

Brody Jenner was the ONLY Vegas staple I recognized in my Getty Image search! Thank God for The Hills or we might have missed having any recognizable faces. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him back too often! His most recent appearance was at On The Record, and I'm used to seeing his name associated with Hakkasan Group before that.

The Vegas love was not heavy this year that I noticed but I'm rooting for us for next year! I loved getting to look at something I usually fan girl at with blogger goggles so I'll be doing some more event coverage like this and hopefully start doing some live coverage on social media!

What to expect in July 2020: Las Vegas After Lock Down

Vegas is OPEN and ready to serve up your next vacation or staycation the way Only Vegas knows how. We are living in a much different time now, so here's what we can expect for a trip to Las Vegas in July. **July 11 Update: Bars, Pubs, etc (see graphic) that do not serve food have all been ordered to close. First things first, masks are required in all public spaces through the state of Nevada per our latest directive ( see specifics here ). You will have to wear a mask when you are outside of your hotel room in all public spaces. You do not have to wear a mask when doing physical activity like working out, but you will need to wear one on the way to the gym and back. Same with the pool, you do not have to wear one while in the pool, but a mask is required everywhere else including the pool deck. Self-care: Mask Monday

Self-Care is not Self-ish Self-care has always been a huge topic of conversation for me. I am a forever fan of people who take the time to check in with themselves to make sure they are operating at their best. It's those who are able to replenish themselves that are able to give even more to those around them with less chance of extreme burnout. Now that I'm someone's mom, I've realized just how real that is. If I'm feeling low energetically, physically, or emotionally it makes everything just a wee bit harder. For me, once things start to get tough, the easiest thing to push to the end of the line is self-care. This is the absolute worst thing we can do to ourselves. Now Streaming: 'Legacies' on Netflix Seasons 1 and 2

I love a good supernatural drama series. I was all in on the 'Vampire Diaries' for a while, and when the 'Originals' came in with what felt like a more "grown-up" storyline from the beginning, I was instantly HOOKED! It had everything I needed in a supernatural drama, but when that ended I was left in a show hole. How do you even follow up on that epic storyline, but thank the bright minds at CW they made it happen with 'Legacies'. With 'Legacies', we are tuning in to the life of Hope Mikaelson after the loss of her parents at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted ran by Alaric Saltzman who is firmly seated in our hearts from 'Vampire Diaries'. Alaric is the headmaster of the Salvatore School and is looking after his twin daughters who are the last living members of the Gemini Coven. My Netflix Obsession: Raising Dion

My latest Netflix obsession lands right on Raising Dion. This Netflix Original is about a Widowed single mother, played by Alisha Wainwright (that I recognize from Shadow Hunters), who is doing her best to raise a son with superhuman abilities that seem to keep growing. While we are at NO shortage of superhero movies and shows right now, this one breaks the average mold by being the story of a child of color. Without giving you too many spoilers, this is why you should start binging right now. First, second and third of all MICHAEL B. JORDAN. Thank you, and goodnight folks. That smile moves mountains and can get me to watch anything! BUT, I got caught up and sucked in before I even realized he was in this so it was a delightful bonus. Let's Go Sailing: Cruising With a Toddler

Cruising with Carnival has become a yearly thing for my mom and I, and this year we extended the tradition a generation by bringing my 1-year-old with us. We went for a 4 day, Halloween cruise from Long Beach with 2 stops - Catalina Island and Ensenada, Baja California. Here's a rundown on going on a cruise with a toddler! First off, we drove from Las Vegas all the way to the Long Beach Terminal so the first leg of our trip was a 4+ hour car ride. I made sure we were fully stocked for the ride over so we wouldn't have to make too many stops and make the ride any longer. Once upon a time, what seems like a long time ago I decided I wanted to be a beauty queen. It was definitely an experience I will never forget and I finally have the chance to tell you all about it!
