Vegas for Christmas



When we think of a holiday vacation, we don't really put Vegas and Christmas together in one sentence unless it also involves a Batchelor party. I'm here to challenge that with 3 reasons you should hit Vegas for the holidays that DON'T include the partying, gambling, drinking, and year-round Vegas events.

HOLIDAY FEAST

There are very few places in the world you can hop around a 3-mile area and have a meal from celebrity chefs and world-class foodie favorites. Not to even mention what feels like "regular" to locals, but is still a top reason thousands flock to the city regardless of the season: ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFETS! For the holidays we go all out and tend to have a price tag to match, but a staple in inexpensive and AMAZING is Ellis Island. Just trust me. Your hotel's cafe will also have reasonable prices! Here's a short list of "OMG you've gotta eat here" on Christmas Night:

  1. THE BUFFET AT ARIA - $53.99 for all you can eat, endless course dinner 12:00-10:30PM (Aria Resort & Casino)
  2. HOUSE OF BLUES - $45 four-course Dinner through 11PM (Mandalay Bay)
  3. BUDDY V's - $53 Dinner through 10PM (Venetian)
  4. BALIWICK - $35 three-course dinner through 11PM (New Orleans)

Vegas is the high key home to neon lights. Add some larger than life Christmas Trees, snow falling, holiday parades, and an ice rink or two and we are definitely a sight to see! We love flashy things that make you go "WOW" and the sharing of feels. Christmas season is no different. Here is just a small list of places that are perfect for your holiday photos and to get you in a festive vibe:

HOLIDAY EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

This list could go on forever! Just this past week, there was a "Nightmare Before Christmas" Themed Holiday party with Skeleton Jack and Oogie Boogie's Lair. It was EVERYTHING. They took over the entire boutique hotel, and this is how I want to live out the rest of my life. We have regular nightclub events with "Sexy Lingerie" themed nights for my ladies who keep themselves bikini ready all year long because, Life! We also have several ice skating rinks, the Cosmopolitan Rink comes with Holiday Watch Parties that are great for the entire family. Container Park also has their festive gear on and is a perfect location to kick it with the kiddos during the day.

This is the shortest list of things to see and places to be, so if you are coming to town last minute send me an email so I can send you some more things that are going on that are more catered to what you might like. Vegas doesn't really shut down, so expect your usual favorite Las Vegas Strip Venues, Restaurants, and Bars/Lounges to be open and ready to keep your holiday spirits up.

Cruising Through the Pacific - Let's Go Sailing Part II

We've decided to make this a yearly thing! And, if I have it my way, we'll be doing it twice a year soon! I am SO IN LOVE with the ease of taking a cruise! You can buy everything ahead of time and just enjoy the cruise and everything you picked and not have to stress over cost, scheduling or anything while you're enjoying it. This time, we took a cruise out of LA to Catalina Island and Ensenada! Here's how it went. Carnival is amazing when it comes to getting you on board quickly. They give you every opportunity imaginable to get these memorable moments professionally shot. Walking into the building to check-in, going from check in to the line to get on the ship, walking from the dock to the ship, and once you get on the ship. Any MTV Awards show has such a huge place in my heart! I just remember being young and thinking how exciting it was to watch all my favorite celebrities getting trophies. Let's Go Sailing: Cruising With a Toddler

Cruising with Carnival has become a yearly thing for my mom and I, and this year we extended the tradition a generation by bringing my 1-year-old with us. We went for a 4 day, Halloween cruise from Long Beach with 2 stops - Catalina Island and Ensenada, Baja California. Here's a rundown on going on a cruise with a toddler! First off, we drove from Las Vegas all the way to the Long Beach Terminal so the first leg of our trip was a 4+ hour car ride. I made sure we were fully stocked for the ride over so we wouldn't have to make too many stops and make the ride any longer. Turns out we didn't need anything I packed for the ride because he slept for about 3 1/2 hours and was completely content with his tablet, a juice box, and some cheez-its when he woke up. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ We decided to check our bags instead of dragging them through the ship because we just knew we wanted to grab some food and explore before going back to the room. Vegas Bound: Christmas In Vegas 2019

Christmas in Las Vegas is really SUCH a magical thing. The Las Vegas strip sprinkles a little bit of holiday magic all over EVERYTHING, and it is so beautiful! All of our usual attractions, like the Bellagio Fountain bring the Christmas cheer with holiday music playing this season. I'd LOVE for the world to start looking at Vegas during the Holiday season, so here's a couple of things to be aware of, what's going on and my recommendations. SO, Vegas is not really less busy during the Holiday Season.  So don’t expect any holiday discounts or extra space it will be the general amount of crowded...if not a bit more!
