4 Week Fitness: Week 2

Shop this look at non-brandstore.com

I am so happy that we made it to week 2! This is where we really start to test our commitment to ourselves! Can we stick through week 2 and finish the program? OF COURSE WE CAN! Week 1 was so much fun for me, and I am beyond ready for week 2. Are you?

Adding the Fitness Marshall back into my regular routine has done wonders for my mood. I could not love him anymore if I tried, and I hope you guys love him too! What I know we loved was the meditation days! I am SO glad you all vibed with that! Here is my favorite youtube meditation channel that I scroll through when I have something specific I want to be guided through. I also enjoy just putting on some relaxing nature sounds or Tibetan bowls and just vibe out. It took me a lot of time starting with guided meditations to get there though. You can read about my journey through meditation here.

Last week in my DMs, (which is a legit series I want to start because my DMs are WILD) I got a couple messages about soreness and some questions about the Meal Plan I provided with this program. Muscle soreness is a part of working out, but we can do things to help lessen the discomfort. Make sure you are stretching before and after your workouts. If you still feel stiff after the stretch, find another stretch video or keep gently stretching the part that is bothering you. Be careful to be gentle with yourself, and don't overstretch! Some ice on the sore area helps and a nice cold shower! Back when I was working out every day in the Navy, different pre and post-workout supplements would help with soreness and recovery time. What's crazy is NONE of the ones I used to use are available now. I am not currently using any pre or post-workout supplements since I am still breastfeeding so I don't have any tried and true recommendations. I am SO pleased to hear that the meal plan I put together was easy to follow! We still have 3 weeks together, but getting your meal routine down early will make it worlds easier. Feel free to try out different snacks throughout the week so you don't get bored repeating the same routine. Please hop in our Facebook group the Social Club, send me a DM or email if you need further guidance, tips, or just someone to talk to about how your husband is eating cookies right in front of you (so rude!).

Plan on coming and celebrating your successful completion of this program? Book your stay with us right now! Make sure you send me an email so I can make sure you're on any guest list or table reservations we have for the weekend. Planning for your reward puts your whole vibe in the alignment of already having earned it and propels you to finish the task at hand to get there. I'm recommending planning to come Thursday the 27th through Sunday the 1st, or the next weekend Thursday the 5th of March through Sunday the 8th. My chosen hotel for the moment is the Aria. This is a full Luxury resort so all your needs will be met on the property, it's gorgeous and right in the middle of everything.
Sign up for the newsletter to make sure you don't miss a workout.

See you for week 3!

Throw Back: That one time I competed in a pageant

Once upon a time, what seems like a long time ago I decided I wanted to be a beauty queen. It was definitely an experience I will never forget and I finally have the chance to tell you all about it! I've always known that I wanted to help people in some way, and one day it dawned on me if I had a crown that would definitely give me a much louder voice to speak on issues I thought were important. So, I went searching for what I thought was the best pageant for me and I landed on Miss Nevada USA 2016. The only thing I knew about pageants at this point was from the Miss Congeniality movie and what I heard about from my cousin's social media pages. So from that, I thought it was going to be a breeze...PSYCH! It was probably the most grueling process of self-discovery I've ever put myself through. My first step was figuring out how much all of this was going to cost. For me, it was a ridiculous amount that I just wasn't going to be able to make at my day job in...

Now Streaming: 'Legacies' on Netflix Seasons 1 and 2

I love a good supernatural drama series. I was all in on the 'Vampire Diaries' for a while, and when the 'Originals' came in with what felt like a more "grown-up" storyline from the beginning, I was instantly HOOKED! It had everything I needed in a supernatural drama, but when that ended I was left in a show hole. How do you even follow up on that epic storyline, but thank the bright minds at CW they made it happen with 'Legacies'. With 'Legacies', we are tuning in to the life of Hope Mikaelson after the loss of her parents at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted ran by Alaric Saltzman who is firmly seated in our hearts from 'Vampire Diaries'. Alaric is the headmaster of the Salvatore School and is looking after his twin daughters who are the last living members of the Gemini Coven. This is exactly the drama series I needed to check into during this quarantine. The Salvatore School is home to the witch, werewolf and vampire ...

Self-care: Mask Monday

Self-Care is not Self-ish Self-care has always been a huge topic of conversation for me. I am a forever fan of people who take the time to check in with themselves to make sure they are operating at their best. It's those who are able to replenish themselves that are able to give even more to those around them with less chance of extreme burnout. Now that I'm someone's mom, I've realized just how real that is. If I'm feeling low energetically, physically, or emotionally it makes everything just a wee bit harder. For me, once things start to get tough, the easiest thing to push to the end of the line is self-care. This is the absolute worst thing we can do to ourselves. I know I'm not the only one who starts to put themselves last because "I'll just get to it when I have time" but then we never have time... and we talk ourselves into this being acceptable because whatever else is so much more important and has to come first. If you're any...

My Netflix Obsession: Raising Dion

My latest Netflix obsession lands right on Raising Dion. This Netflix Original is about a Widowed single mother, played by Alisha Wainwright (that I recognize from Shadow Hunters), who is doing her best to raise a son with superhuman abilities that seem to keep growing. While we are at NO shortage of superhero movies and shows right now, this one breaks the average mold by being the story of a child of color. Without giving you too many spoilers, this is why you should start binging right now. First, second and third of all MICHAEL B. JORDAN. Thank you, and goodnight folks. That smile moves mountains and can get me to watch anything! BUT, I got caught up and sucked in before I even realized he was in this so it was a delightful bonus. Unfortunately, we learn early on in the movie that Michael's character, Mark, was killed in a storm saving someone giving us the hero factor right out of the gate. The characters of this show are SO easily loveable. Dion, played by Ja'Sia...

Watch Next: BLEACH Live Action on Netflix

BLEACH - Live Action Movie Let's talk Netflix! I spend so much time streaming my favorite shows and movies it is absolutely crazy. I'm sure if Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime (yes I have all of them) decided to tell me how many hours a month I spend using their streaming services it would be embarrassing. So, I totally know what's poppin on the streaming services and am more than happy to help you find your next entertainment title! Today, I'm telling you enough to get you excited but not spoil BLEACH! Bleach was originally a manga (I never read it) then it became a TV series aka an Anime. I am a HUGE fan of the series and have watched the whole thing like 3 times on crunchy roll (Yes, I have that too). If you decide you like the movie, I 100% recommend you watch the series. Let me reel in my fangirl and tell you the basics: The main character, Ichigo is just a regular-degular 15 year old (Who looks NOTHING like a 15-year-old in the movie nor the a...

What to expect in July 2020: Las Vegas After Lock Down

Vegas is OPEN and ready to serve up your next vacation or staycation the way Only Vegas knows how. We are living in a much different time now, so here's what we can expect for a trip to Las Vegas in July. **July 11 Update: Bars, Pubs, etc (see graphic) that do not serve food have all been ordered to close.  First things first, masks are required in all public spaces through the state of Nevada per our latest directive ( see specifics here ). You will have to wear a mask when you are outside of your hotel room in all public spaces. You do not have to wear a mask when doing physical activity like working out, but you will need to wear one on the way to the gym and back. Same with the pool, you do not have to wear one while in the pool, but a mask is required everywhere else including the pool deck. Restaurants, bars, and lounges all have similar rules, masks will be needed while waiting in line to be seated/served but you do not have to wear a mask while eating and drinking. Social ...
