Why Vacations Are So Important

Lots of us have vision boards of our ideal vacations, follow lifestyle travelers on social media or look up flights to our perfect destination only to never actually go for it...then never take a vacation at all! We might even look at those "professional vacationers" and think that could never be us...Well it can, and for so many reasons, it SHOULD be us. One of those reasons is stress. I am a stress magnet. Something goes wrong and I am instantly stressed TF out! Deadlines are approaching - I tense up, or I have to work with someone I don't vibe with and my whole situation is just wrong for the rest of the project. You know what one thing we can all do to decrease the amount of stress we have? Vacation - Stay-cation, whatever you can do, just get away and breath some new air! Stress is just one of many reasons to take vacations.

If you have a job that requires creativity, taking a vacation will remove the "crunch time - deadline" stress, and allow your "creative juices" to actually flow! Most people are at their most creative when they are comfortable and relaxed. There's nothing more relaxing than taking a vacation as far away from your office and those deadlines as possible. Immersing yourself in a different culture, and way of life can also open you up to new ways of thinking. Gaining a new perspective in life is guaranteed to help you be more creative, not only in your career but in your personal life too!

You know how taking a lunch break in the day is so important not just to get a meal, but to take a bit of time away from work so you can wind down for a minute, and hopefully come back refreshed? And when you take that lunch break with your work-best friend it makes the time and even the rest of the day so much easier to bare? Well, you NEED to take a break from time to time so you don't burn yourself out. Working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, no breaks, no vacation, you are going to burn yourself out. Not only are you getting time away from what might be a stressful, or mundane workplace, but include friends and family and you could be lowering stress for everyone involved and build stronger personal relationships that will last forever.

Taking a vacation can actually have an effect on your health. Everything from lowering your blood pressure to being an overall happier person. A Google search on vacations effect on depression shows that there is a significant drop in depression when people vacation more often.

You have most likely already earned the time off! Depending on how long you've been in your current position, you may already be entitled to up to 2 weeks of vacation time a year! Don't have the time in rate (weeks, months, or years spent in a position before benefits can be earned) yet? You can still get away for a weekend, or however many days you get off weekly. Vacationing doesn't have to mean flying to the Bahamas, or even Las Vegas. Take your time off to explore the next city over or even the next state. Go see a concert at a different venue, get a hotel room so you don't have to worry about making the bed, cooking, or who's taking out the trash! It's a short drive or bus ride and even that will reduce your stress level!

The travel bug is real, and once you start with one, you will know how to start planning for your next and build a lifestyle that can lead to not only a healthy and happier life but one that can even make you more productive at work and prevent burnout. Take a leap and start planning your trip now!

Ready to start planning, but don't know where to go or where to start? I always recommend Vegas, we can accommodate just about any budget and lifestyle here if you are willing to save for it. You can start by checking out our discounted rates on my hotel page. We have many more cities than Vegas available at our discounted rates too! Need help putting a budget or vacation plan together? Vegas Bound: January 2020 Guide

Welcome to 2020! May this year bring you all the things you have set out for yourself. Hopefully, that includes lots of Vegas time. This list does not include everything that is happening here regularly like the Cirque du solei shows, the daily free shows, sights and things like that. I've just got the big and noteworthy things that are here for the moment and all the club events I could stand to type up. If you are planning a vacation or staycation, book your hotel with my team. We keep rates 20%-30% off nationally advertised rates. I also have rates in cities outside of Las Vegas, so check with us for all of your hotel needs. As of right now, I'm looking at weekend rates of $73 per night+ taxes and fees at the Planet Hollywood for their standard rooms (Ultra Hip King). If a budget is not how you do Vegas, I recommend the Ultra Panorama Suite at $676 per night +taxes and fees. Check the rates for your travel dates, and book with me today. Here's what we have going...

Let's Go Sailing: Cruising With a Toddler

Cruising with Carnival has become a yearly thing for my mom and I, and this year we extended the tradition a generation by bringing my 1-year-old with us. We went for a 4 day, Halloween cruise from Long Beach with 2 stops - Catalina Island and Ensenada, Baja California. Here's a rundown on going on a cruise with a toddler! First off, we drove from Las Vegas all the way to the Long Beach Terminal so the first leg of our trip was a 4+ hour car ride. I made sure we were fully stocked for the ride over so we wouldn't have to make too many stops and make the ride any longer. Turns out we didn't need anything I packed for the ride because he slept for about 3 1/2 hours and was completely content with his tablet, a juice box, and some cheez-its when he woke up. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ We decided to check our bags instead of dragging them through the ship because we just knew we wanted to grab some food and explore before going back to the room. That means we had to have everythi...

Mask Monday: Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

It is that wonderful time again where my skin is acting all the way out of control. This time it could be my horrible quarantine diet, stress, hormones, my 2-year-old touching God knows what then rubbing my face...the list of possibilities is endless. To combat that I'm going in the Mix, Mask & Hydrate 6 piece kit from Peter Thomas Roth that we got at an incredible value price. Today, I am tapping into the Cucumber Gel Mask. It is an Extreme Detoxifying Hydration mask that is instantly refreshing (I keep mine in the refrigerator), cooling, and a moisturizing calming gel that helps soothe dry irritated skin. I've used this mask before, and know that it works wonders on my sometimes overly sensitive skin combination skin. I feel like my skin issues are coming from clogged pores and stress, so the detoxifying bit will really help me get to the smooth skin I just know exists underneath all this drama. So, to start off I like to use a gentle cleanser to get any make...

Moming In Vegas: Container Park

Kid Friendly Life In Vegas We had our FIRST EVER play date! One of the dopest things about Las Vegas is that there are SO many family-friendly activities. I didn't even know about most of them until I became a mom. Our first date was at the Container Park, a place I thought was only for 21+. Turns out, 21+ is only at night from 9PM to close!  First things first, PARKING. It's downtown so you can get "free" parking at places like Main Street Station if you plan on spending some money at their casino and validate your parking. For me, I don't have a problem dropping some change in the machine right next to where I'm going. DON'T FORGET to leave the ticket in your window, and how long you paid for! They are QUICK AF to give tickets down here. Prices range from $1-$3 in the lots. Ky and I - Babywearing with our CuddleBug wrap I am just in love with this place. They have super comfy seating where there is a turf area for kids to play,...

Locals I Love: Angelic Frequency With Frances Urtaza

Welcome to my first edition of Locals I Love! This is going to be a weekly series I run where I will feature local people, businesses and services that are amazing, aiding our community and I think we should all know more about. To start this all off, I couldn't think of anyone whose commitment to the community I admire more than my very own mother, Frances Urtaza ! Frances is a local Reiki Master, Seraphim Blueprint instructor, facilitator, divine channel, crystal enthusiast, and the worlds most amazing mother (and a cool Mom at that) just to name a few things she does. She has aided hundreds in our local area through meditations, energetic shares, teaching classes on the different modalities she uses and by being a sympathetic and understanding shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen. Once a month, she gifts to anyone available a free phone in guided meditation and energetic share where everyone can call in and have a moment to unwind, relax and tune in to a higher fr...

Day N Vegas: The Hip Hop Festival Vegas Needs

We've been asking for it, and the people down at GoldenVoice have made it happen! The Rap centered, 3-day Hip-Hop music festival of our DREAMS is coming to Las Vegas November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with Day N Vegas! Here's what we know so far. Vegas has been ready for a huge Hip-Hop festival for a minute and we could not be happier that it is coming! With J.Cole, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar headlining the festival everyone is already hype...but then we took a closer look and this entire lineup is lit! Migos, Miguel, Tyler the Creator, and 21 Savage are all playing this festival! They are keeping it exciting with new favorites like DaBaby, Blueface, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Nas X. This festival is the first weekend of November, which is one of the coolest months! We don't have to worry about the heat, we don't have to worry about makeup running, or hair trippin. This is the perfect outdoor festival time of year for Vegas if the wind stays calm. Day N...

4 Week Fitness: Week 2

Shop this look at non-brandstore.com I am so happy that we made it to week 2! This is where we really start to test our commitment to ourselves! Can we stick through week 2 and finish the program? OF COURSE WE CAN ! Week 1 was so much fun for me, and I am beyond ready for week 2. Are you? Adding the Fitness Marshall back into my regular routine has done wonders for my mood. Here is my favorite youtube meditation channel that I scroll through when I have something specific I want to be guided through. Watch Next: BLEACH Live Action on Netflix

BLEACH - Live Action Movie Let's talk Netflix! I spend so much time streaming my favorite shows and movies it is absolutely crazy. I'm sure if Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime (yes I have all of them) decided to tell me how many hours a month I spend using their streaming services it would be embarrassing. So, I totally know what's poppin on the streaming services and am more than happy to help you find your next entertainment title! Today, I'm telling you enough to get you excited but not spoil BLEACH! Bleach was originally a manga (I never read it) then it became a TV series aka an Anime. I am a HUGE fan of the series and have watched the whole thing like 3 times on crunchy roll (Yes, I have that too). If you decide you like the movie, I 100% recommend you watch the series. Let me reel in my fangirl and tell you the basics: The main character, Ichigo is just a regular-degular 15 year old (Who looks NOTHING like a 15-year-old in the movie nor the a...
