Beauty Moment: What's In My Makeup Bag

This is a new one for me, but as a state titleholder in the Beauty world, it's about time I get sharing what's going on in my makeup bag. I always love seeing these posts on Youtube and in the Blog-sphere and I got a whole new kit that I've been loving so I figured now is the perfect time to share my first Makeup Bag spill.

This cute bag I probably got from Ipsy and has been holding some of my new additions.

PRIMER: I kind of consider primer as part of my skincare prep routine, but it's in my makeup bag so here we go! I always jump between primers but right now, my go-to is Smashbox The Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur.

CONCEALER: When I start slipping on my self-care, my skin is the FIRST thing to tell everyone how stressed out I am! Because of that, I've been stockpiling an arsenal of concealer to keep my skin issues on the low. It Cosmetics has the perfect shade to blend with my skin tone in their Bye Bye Under Eye full coverage anti-aging waterproof concealer in deep, so I use that to fill out any flaws that are really bugging me. Then, I use a mixture of Smashbox second-skin concealer in with it to highlight under my eyes and my jaw area. Then if I'm feeling like I need an extra pop, I use YSL Beauty's Touche Eclat Radiant Touch on top and along my forehead, chin and down my nose.

EYELINER: I can never finish a look without some kind of eyeliner and I like it thick, black and winged to the heavens. I got 2 really amazing IT Cosmetics kits and this Superhero liner has been in my go-to kit since! I've been scared of liquid eyeliner because it makes me feel like I can't make a mistake or else I've ruined EVERYTHING but I haven't had a single problem applying this it feels just like a pencil in my hand and is so easy to maneuver

MASCARA: I go through mascara SO quickly, and this is one I keep coming back to! Superhero Mascara from IT Cosmetics is such a beautiful addition to my makeup look every single time. It lengthens my lashes and gives me a sturdy foundation if I chose to apply extra lashes and helps make my eyes pop in a way that I really love.

BROWS: My natural eyebrows are such a challenge! They are thick, but short and grow all kinds of uneven. I have been using the IT Cosmetics Brow Power pencil and it makes it SO easy for me to fill in and darken what I'm working with!

BLUSH: I love a good flush of color on my cheeks! I've been using this one forever, Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose. I don't use blush daily, only when I know I'm going to be filming something or I want to give a more youthful look. I love how pink this one is.

FOUNDATION: I love switching up what foundation I use, and what type whether it's liquid, cream, stick or powder. Right now I'm using the Celebration foundation from IT Cosmetics. This is a powder foundation that has buildable coverage without turning cakey, it's anti-aging and hydrating all in one!

HIGHLIGHT: Lately, I've been feeling a more natural glow and the Highlighter in my Hello Cheekbones duo gives me exactly that. It is a kind of champaign color that feels SO warm and inviting on my cheekbones. This Duo comes with a matte bronzer.

SHADOW PALLETE: This totally depends on what vibe I'm trying to give today! I made a TikTok using my Superhero eyeshadow palette from IT Cosmetics and I really love the colors and the looks I can create with it. I usually use some of my Smashbox + The Hoodwitch Cover Shot: Crystalized Eye Palled and Always on Liquid Eye Shadow from that line in Rich Craft for that sparkle I love too!

LIPS: I have been loving the matte lip look for a minute, and Kylie Cosmetics makes such a great lip kit. Right now, I'm attached to Mary Jo K Matte Liquid Lipstick and Lipliner team. It gives me a really bright red that helps me pull my look together.

I love adding new things to my makeup bag and testing out new products! Do you have a new favorite in your bag? Let me know all about it down in the comments or on Twitter!

Throw Back: That one time I competed in a pageant

Once upon a time, what seems like a long time ago I decided I wanted to be a beauty queen. It was definitely an experience I will never forget and I finally have the chance to tell you all about it! I've always known that I wanted to help people in some way, and one day it dawned on me if I had a crown that would definitely give me a much louder voice to speak on issues I thought were important. So, I went searching for what I thought was the best pageant for me and I landed on Miss Nevada USA 2016. The only thing I knew about pageants at this point was from the Miss Congeniality movie and what I heard about from my cousin's social media pages. So from that, I thought it was going to be a breeze...PSYCH! It was probably the most grueling process of self-discovery I've ever put myself through. My first step was figuring out how much all of this was going to cost. For me, it was a ridiculous amount that I just wasn't going to be able to make at my day job in...

My Netflix Obsession: Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker

Since we are all doubling down on social distancing, I am making SURE to do my part by getting my entertainment fix from home by streaming the latest Netflix titles. This week, we streamed Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. This is the filmmaker's adaption of the life of Madam C.J. Walker, one of America's First Black Women to become a millionaire. We open this up with a beautiful moment of sisterhood. Sarah (the Madam) had been having an extremely hard time with life, making an income and was under a tremendous amount of stress. Luckily for her, Annie showed up at the perfect moment to help pick her back up. While this is the sisterhood moment we all hope to have when we are at our lowest, this beautiful friendship doesn't turn out to be that fairytale womanhood bond we'd hoped for. After continuing to be beaten down by what life has thrown her way, the Madam continues to whip up her hair products in her kitchen because she knows that no...

Vegas Vacation: June Travel Essentials *Pool Season Guide Men*

Suns out, guns out! Summer in Vegas is JUST as much for all the fellas out there as it is for the women. Here's my list of travel essentials that I keep on hand and that my travel clients have been requesting so that you can have a smoother trip (or stay if you're a local). When you are packing your pool bag for any occasion here is what you need to keep the day on a high note. Pool Day Essentials: A day out in the sun is one of the best ways to spend your Vegas Vacation! Whether that's at the pool club, your hotel pool, or your own backyard, here are my favorite must have's for every pool day. 🌟One thing I know about you guys is you do NOT want to carry a bag at all. Even though it is SO fashionable for you to have a messenger bag or even a backpack. 👀 Whatever, I'm not judging you, but I do want you to be able to keep track of all your things while still being able to hop in the pool and live your best life. The best solution is a MOSTLY waterproof ...

Throw Back Thursday: Let's Go Sailing

Carnival Cruise - Ensenada, Mexico Around this time last year, I went on my first cruise. And now I'm obsessed! I've always loved vacations, to the point that I spent most (if not all) of my free time helping anyone I could have the vacation of their dreams. This time around, I was taking the vacation.  My Beautiful Mom and our comp breakfast I was SO busy living it up on the ship that I totally forgot to take pictures of all the super amazing things going on. There was ALWAYS something going on. We didn't have a single bored moment, or even any downtime if we didn't want it. We took complete and total advantage of all the free food. I was pregnant at the time, so I was ALWAYS hungry lol. The ship had me covered. There was a burger bar, a buffet-style arrangement, pizza, and every night there was a fancy dinner setup. There were live shows, like 2 different nightclubs, there was a karaoke night, live music all over the place. It was just amazing!...

Crystals I Love: Hematite

My crystal collection is small, but it is mighty! Most pieces have been gifted to me, but a very select few I went out and searched for myself. Hematite is one of the stones that I ALWAYS have to have at least one piece of. Right now I'm rocking a Hematite bracelet that was gifted to me. I usually like a piece that has been made into a ring that I will wear on my thumb, but this bracelet has been around for the long haul. USES Hematite is a dark color stone, I usually see it dark gray or black, that is used for grounding, removing and blocking negative energy. It's like the crystal Dikembe Mutombo. I like it because of the way the energy feels, and what I like to call it's "Not Today!!" powers. To me, the vibes are smooth and earthy. This crystal helps me feel more connected and rooted in the moment. HOW IT WORKS FOR ME I am an emotionally driven person. That makes me super sensitive to other peoples feelings, so someone else's bad mood wi...

Nikki On Vegas: The New Launch

Welcome to the new Nikki On Vegas Blog. I've had some huge changes in my life in the past year and a half that I needed to reflect into my online presence. The New New   Get a similar sweater dress here. Size up for maternity. About a year and a half ago, I was blogging regularly, all over social media and completely content to keep blogging specifically about Vegas and helping people have their best vacations ever. Then I got pregnant! I had a super difficult pregnancy and couldn't keep up with the lifestyle I had before at all. Since having my beautiful, amazing, miracle baby I realized that I have SO MUCH MORE that I want to talk about, share, and learn. It took me WAY too long to figure out how to do that and still provide the Vegas info, reviews, tips and tricks that I love so much. But! I'm back, the Vegas is still here, I've just expanded to much much more.  All of my social media will remain @NikkiOnVegas, so kee...

Encore Beach Club: 28 Days To Pool Season Finale

Pool Season 2019 has officially started, and I spent the first-day basking in the sun at Encore Beach Club. I got myself bikini ready by following my 28 Days to Pool Season Workout Program that you can follow too! Here is a bit of a rundown on Encore Beach Club and how I feel about it. Encore is a BEAUTIFUL property by itself. I love to have my friends stay here as they will NEVER be disappointed with the staff, their service, or their stay. I have not heard a single complaint ever from them on anything here. Encore Beach Club is no different. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Security is tight to get through, they do a full bag search and metal detector scan and have a long list of items that are not allowed in...like selfie sticks...I had to toss mine out... and even though I had to throw something away I still thought the staff handled me with kindness and that is a HUGE DEAL to me. The lines will be long, but they are easy to figure out and the sta...

Vegas Bound: January 2020 Guide

Welcome to 2020! May this year bring you all the things you have set out for yourself. Hopefully, that includes lots of Vegas time. This list does not include everything that is happening here regularly like the Cirque du solei shows, the daily free shows, sights and things like that. I've just got the big and noteworthy things that are here for the moment and all the club events I could stand to type up. If you are planning a vacation or staycation, book your hotel with my team. We keep rates 20%-30% off nationally advertised rates. I also have rates in cities outside of Las Vegas, so check with us for all of your hotel needs. As of right now, I'm looking at weekend rates of $73 per night+ taxes and fees at the Planet Hollywood for their standard rooms (Ultra Hip King). If a budget is not how you do Vegas, I recommend the Ultra Panorama Suite at $676 per night +taxes and fees. Check the rates for your travel dates, and book with me today. Here's what we have going...

When to do Vegas: 2019 Vegas Travel Outline

There isn't really a bad time to do Vegas! We have the staples that are ALWAYS better to do in Vegas like 21st birthdays, EVERY birthday after 21, Batchelor and Bachelorette parties, Weddings, Anniversaries, Reunions and any other gathering you have going on. Every season and every occasion, we have just the thing to keep you entertained. I, of course, have my favorites! Here is an outline of some of my favorite times to be in Las Vegas. VALENTINE'S DAY: I am a MUSH! I love everything romantic, and cheesy and the things that make you go, "Awwww!" and Vegas is SUCH a perfect time to let out that inner romantic. I've had couples do everything from the most romantic 5-star meals and exclusive shows to the extreme couple who jumped off the Stratosphere to celebrate their love for each other. I love the idea of spoiling your babe with luxury, and Vegas gives you EVERY option to do that. ST. PATRICK'S DAY This one isn't for the kids...this is ...
