Charity Sneaker Gala To Benefit Child Haven Las Vegas


To honor and commemorate the Las Vegas Child Haven for their years of service to the community, Cashleigh X Nulife Kicks present to us the Charity Sneaker Gala.


This is an event for the whole city to come out and get a red carpet experience dressed in their finest formal to semi-formal threads with their sneakers on to complete the look. Here we will enjoy entertainment, eats, beverages and a champagne toast all from the talent in our community to benefit a local organization that takes great strides to be a place of shelter and comfort for children from our community going through the toughest of times.


The Child Haven shelter is a licensed facility, staffed by employees who provide safe, nurturing temporary care for children who cannot safely remain with their families.  County staff provides direct care, daily supervision, and life skills development to children in this temporary placement.
“It’s very tough for children who are removed from their homes,” said County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, whose district includes Child Haven. “When they come to us they are very apprehensive, so we want to do whatever we can to make that transition easier.[exc].”1

Child Haven is a safe and nurturing child-care center for neglected and abused children in the local area that has gone under the radar for the majority of our community until crisis strikes. They are there for our children through impossible circumstances, so this is a beautiful opportunity for the Las Vegas community to come together and show our appreciation for their continued support and hard work through giving what we can and showing up to the first Annual Sneaker Gala.2

Funds raised from the Sneaker Gala 2019 will be used to further support Child Haven to continue to provide change in the lives of Las Vegas youth.3


 While the event is all for charity, it is guaranteed to be a unique and entertaining evening! DJ Mizzy Matt will be spinning the best tracks keeping the mood light, there will be an exclusive Pop-Up shop from Aazhia where you can pick up the hottest trends to keep you right all 2019 and we all get the chance to vibe with our local community.

So, open up your calendar on Sunday April 7th from 5pm - 9pm and head over to the Royal Crystal Event Center, located at 7207 West Sahara Ave #105. Get your TICKETS right now as space will be limited and this is an event you will NOT want to miss! As you can see I am definitely excited to get dressed up in my formal wear with my sneakers, and I can't wait to kick it with you there!

Now Streaming: 'Legacies' on Netflix Seasons 1 and 2

I love a good supernatural drama series. I was all in on the 'Vampire Diaries' for a while, and when the 'Originals' came in with what felt like a more "grown-up" storyline from the beginning, I was instantly HOOKED! It had everything I needed in a supernatural drama, but when that ended I was left in a show hole. How do you even follow up on that epic storyline, but thank the bright minds at CW they made it happen with 'Legacies'. With 'Legacies', we are tuning in to the life of Hope Mikaelson after the loss of her parents at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted ran by Alaric Saltzman who is firmly seated in our hearts from 'Vampire Diaries'. Alaric is the headmaster of the Salvatore School and is looking after his twin daughters who are the last living members of the Gemini Coven. What to expect in July 2020: Las Vegas After Lock Down

Vegas is OPEN and ready to serve up your next vacation or staycation the way Only Vegas knows how. We are living in a much different time now, so here's what we can expect for a trip to Las Vegas in July. **July 11 Update: Bars, Pubs, etc (see graphic) that do not serve food have all been ordered to close.  First things first, masks are required in all public spaces through the state of Nevada per our latest directive ( see specifics here ). You will have to wear a mask when you are outside of your hotel room in all public spaces. You do not have to wear a mask when doing physical activity like working out, but you will need to wear one on the way to the gym and back. Same with the pool, you do not have to wear one while in the pool, but a mask is required everywhere else including the pool deck. Restaurants, bars, and lounges all have similar rules, masks will be needed while waiting in line to be seated/served but you do not have to wear a mask while eating and drinking. Social ...

Moming In Vegas: Container Park

Kid Friendly Life In Vegas We had our FIRST EVER play date! One of the dopest things about Las Vegas is that there are SO many family-friendly activities. I didn't even know about most of them until I became a mom. Our first date was at the Container Park, a place I thought was only for 21+. Turns out, 21+ is only at night from 9PM to close!  First things first, PARKING. It's downtown so you can get "free" parking at places like Main Street Station if you plan on spending some money at their casino and validate your parking. For me, I don't have a problem dropping some change in the machine right next to where I'm going. DON'T FORGET to leave the ticket in your window, and how long you paid for!
