Crystals I Love: Hematite

My crystal collection is small, but it is mighty! Most pieces have been gifted to me, but a very select few I went out and searched for myself. Hematite is one of the stones that I ALWAYS have to have at least one piece of.

Right now I'm rocking a Hematite bracelet that was gifted to me.

I usually like a piece that has been made into a ring that I will wear on my thumb, but this bracelet has been around for the long haul.

USES

Hematite is a dark color stone, I usually see it dark gray or black, that is used for grounding, removing and blocking negative energy. It's like the crystal Dikembe Mutombo. I like it because of the way the energy feels, and what I like to call it's "Not Today!!" powers. To me, the vibes are smooth and earthy. This crystal helps me feel more connected and rooted in the moment.

HOW IT WORKS FOR ME

I am an emotionally driven person. That makes me super sensitive to other peoples feelings, so someone else's bad mood will kill my vibe faster than I can even ask what's wrong! Once I started wearing hematite, I noticed that I was MUCH less affected by other peoples negativity/low vibrations and found that my own negative feelings would resolve themselves quickly. My only problem is I break these rings SO QUICKLY. I even tried getting a metal band with a hematite stone placed in it and I somehow broke that too! I'd like to think that it's just because the stone is on the softer side of the scale...but I'm starting to think that I work these things too hard!

I usually pick up a ring when I need one at my local spiritual shop when I'm there for one of my mom's classes. You can find a stone or piece of jewelry at your own local metaphysical shop, or online crystal store. For online shopping, I really like the Sage Goddess or the Hoodwitch.

Beauty Moment: Belle Beauty 'Shero - Shadow Stick'

Kid Friendly Vegas: Kangamoo

I have a one-year-old! Life is BANANAS! To celebrate my young King's first birthday, we took him to Kangamoo indoor playground. Here's how it went. This place is HUGE. I was shook once I walked in and tried to find the bathroom through what felt like miles of padded kid-wonderland. I didn't do too much exploring of the big kid area, and I made it a point not to go when they were having a special event but according to their facebook page, this place is lit! Every Thursday 4:30-5:30 they have a character come by and play around with the kids (perfect photo op), Wednesday is arts and crafts day 10AM-12, Balloon Animals and face paint every Friday 2-4, and Musical Story Time on Tuesday 10AM-12. 4 Week Fitness: Week 3

Welcome to week 3! We are at the halfway mark and moving past it with a FORCE ! We've got this far and we owe it to ourselves to push through and finish these last 2 weeks. Moming In Vegas: Container Park

Kid Friendly Life In Vegas We had our FIRST EVER play date! One of the dopest things about Las Vegas is that there are SO many family-friendly activities. I didn't even know about most of them until I became a mom. Our first date was at the Container Park, a place I thought was only for 21+. Turns out, 21+ is only at night from 9PM to close! First things first, PARKING. It's downtown so you can get "free" parking at places like Main Street Station if you plan on spending some money at their casino and validate your parking. For me, I don't have a problem dropping some change in the machine right next to where I'm going. DON'T FORGET to leave the ticket in your window, and how long you paid for! Vegas for Christmas

When we think of a holiday vacation, we don't really put Vegas and Christmas together in one sentence unless it also involves a Batchelor party.
