Skin Deep: Lancome Teint Idole


Know what your favorite foundation is? I thought I did...and then Influenster sent me a lovely care package that they call a VoxBox, filled with Lancome products that rocked my world.


That being said...I have new favorites. I don't even know if it's fair to use the word favorite anymore now that they change with every new package I receive! I'm calling them my top 10s now, and my Lancome Teint Idole products are at the top.


Concealer:
The concealer I got is Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage in 435 Suede (W). This concealer didn't come here to play games! I used it on my under eye area to brighten as well as cover up some redness from blemishes and acne scars. The product is powerful, so a little bit went a long way. On my under eye, I typically have issues with concealers being thick and ending up super cakey looking under my eyes, not this concealer! Camouflage is the perfect name. It slipped in, covered up my dark circles and was completely unnoticed. Even without foundation, this alone gave me a flawless finish. I applied with a concealer brush, then blended out with a medium moist sponge for just the right finish.


Foundation:
I have about 3 different foundations in my arsenal that I go back and forth between depending on what my skin is doing oil-wise and what shade I am. Since I've been testing out Lancome's Teint Idole Ultrawear Makeup Stick with SPF21 on my combination skin, I haven't had to go back to any of my others! I have the shade 460 Suede(w) and it is so perfect for my skin tone right now! This foundation gave me a medium to full coverage look without needing cake like layers, and a matte finish without needing a mattifying powder! It's the most light weight foundation I've ever worn, it really just feels and looks like skin! Avoid using extra oils on your skin before use if you have combo or oily skin. I layered this on top of a heavy face oil once and it did make the product slip a bit and look cakey. I tried multiple brushes to apply, but the best application I got was using a regular moist makeup sponge that is on the softer side. This was my first time using a foundation stick, but there wasn't anything difficult about it vs a liquid. It's actually a bit more fun to draw on my face with the stick!


Bonus Lash Love:
Influenster also sent me some products to get these lashes on point! I was able to try out Lancome's Monsieur Big and CILS Lash Booster XL. The brush on Monsieur Big mascara made me so happy. It's got a thick handle so it was nice to hold in my hand and easy for me to maneuver. I feel like this mascara really helped curl my lashes up, and gave me a dark dramatic thick lash that goes well with a glam look. The lash primer is BOMB. I tested it out under a few of my favorite mascaras and it really did improve ALL of them! Made my lashes appear thicker and longer and added no clump.





Overall I love the look these products gave me,  and so did everyone on my Instagram! The finish was matte and flawless. I'm so happy to add these to my makeup bag and fully recommend that you do too! You can pick these up at Sephora.

Streaming: Disney and Pixar's 'Onward'

Disney+ dropped some blessings for us during this quarantine and I am so grateful! Since Social Distancing made it hard for us to safely go see 'Onward' in theatres when it came out last month, Disney and Pixar gave us a quarantine present and dropped it for us to stream from home WAY earlier than expected on Disney+! Now Streaming: 'Legacies' on Netflix Seasons 1 and 2

I love a good supernatural drama series. I was all in on the 'Vampire Diaries' for a while, and when the 'Originals' came in with what felt like a more "grown-up" storyline from the beginning, I was instantly HOOKED! It had everything I needed in a supernatural drama, but when that ended I was left in a show hole. How do you even follow up on that epic storyline, but thank the bright minds at CW they made it happen with 'Legacies'. With 'Legacies', we are tuning in to the life of Hope Mikaelson after the loss of her parents at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted ran by Alaric Saltzman who is firmly seated in our hearts from 'Vampire Diaries'. Alaric is the headmaster of the Salvatore School and is looking after his twin daughters who are the last living members of the Gemini Coven. 4 Week Fitness: Week 3

Welcome to week 3! We are at the halfway mark and moving past it with a FORCE ! We've got this far and we owe it to ourselves to push through and finish these last 2 weeks. I am already SO PROUD OF US ! Now is the time to lock in our rewards. Vegas for Christmas

When we think of a holiday vacation, we don't really put Vegas and Christmas together in one sentence unless it also involves a Batchelor party. I'm here to challenge that with 3 reasons you should hit Vegas for the holidays that DON'T include the partying, gambling, drinking, and year-round Vegas events. My Netflix Obsession: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

I am loving that Netflix has original movies and series! Right now I am all caught up in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and am very impatiently waiting for the release info on seasons 3 and 4! Let's talk all about why this is SUCH a binge-able flick and YOU should be just as excited to catch up! So, I went into CAOS without even knowing what I was getting myself into. I thought it was a Sabrina the Teenage witch via Melissa Joan Heart spin off/reboot/remake situation...I had NO idea Archie Comics had an entire dark world that spawned my childhood fave...because I would have been obsessed YEARS ago. They took something that was sweet, innocent and wholesome, added the actual devil and a dash of sexy and I've been horrified through every episode! The series keeps all our Sabrina favorites, Sabrina herself, Harvey, Hilda and Zelda, and my always favorite Salem but with a twist and gives us some new favorites in the Weird Sisters, Ambrose Spellman and Nicholas Scratch....
