Vegas Bound: Halloween Week 2019

I love every reason to let my inner spook out, so the ENTIRE month of October is an all-out celebration for me! If you're here, you must be getting ready to spend your Halloween in Las Vegas and I could NOT be more excited for you. Whether you are a Las Vegas Local, or here for the weekend, Las Vegas is one of the most amazing places in the world for entertainment, and to take a nice relaxing (or turnt) vacation. As much as Vegas has the reputation to be an Adults only trip, we have tons of spooktacular events for the whole family to enjoy.

If you are heading to Las Vegas to celebrate Halloween, check out the hotel rooms available from my team. We can get rates up to 30% lower than nationally advertised rates all year round, even on national holidays. And when you book with me, you get the option of having me personally help you plan out your vacation specifics and help to manage any last-minute emergencies.

A few tips if you are coming through for the costume contests. Vegas does not come to play, we have world-class SFX artists in town that pull out all the stops! If you are coming to show off your craft don't hold anything back because I guarantee you no one here will! If you are planning on a nightclub costume contest, most casinos have very strict requirements on what you can wear walking through like ABSOLUTELY no nudity or implied nudity (like pasties and thongs), no weapons (not even obviously fake ones), no full face paint or masks, and no skates to name a few. If you have a costume that is a little risky, wear a coat over, lots of the clubs have a coat check for a fee (I know for sure XS, Chateau, and Light have coat checks).

Check out my video on spending Halloween in Las Vegas:

Nikki's Picks:

Here are my TOP Halloween adventures you have to see to believe for 2019:
  • ROCK OF HORROR: Fremont Street Experience October 31st
With live entertainment from bands to a WICKED show with aerial acts, and a cash costume contest this is a FREE event that you can not miss and you will need to see in person to believe! See below or the link for details.
  • Cardi B @ Kaos October 31st
See Cardi under the Demon Dome Halloween night! Kaos is Las Vegas' newest superclub at the renovated Palms. Cardi always puts on a performance that will keep you on your feet! Prices for this keep climbing so lock these in ASAP.
  • HallOVeen @ the Magical Forest @ Opportunity Village
This is a whole family type of event, like a super fun Halloween Carnival with trick-or-treat stations and ticketed rides including a MINI COASTER! There will be a selection of food trucks so you can spend the WHOLE evening here! Open daily Halloween week - Oct31.
  • FREAKLING BROS: Trilogy of Terror
This is where you go if you want to be real-life horrified. This isn't your cute neighborhood haunted house. The Freakling Bros are coming for a FULL scare you out of your pants vibe, and they never disappoint. So, if extreme fear is your thing (like me), this is a MUST. See hours in the Haunted House section below or link for details.
  • Zombie Paintball Express @ Bonnie Screams
I've been dreaming of shooting zombies since I was introduced to Zombies in Call Of Duty. This is that in REAL LIFE and I'm obsessed! For $30 you can board the Zombie Paintball Express out in Bonnie Screams and see if you have what it takes to survive a Zombie take over. Count me ALL the way in. Get your tickets at the venue 7- 10:30PM Halloween week or call ahead. See link for details.

  • Bonnie Screams
They have an entire HAUNTED TOWN built out there with 3 haunted houses. This is a Ranch in the middle of the desert so leave your sexy costumes at home for this one, and bring a coat or long sleaves as it can get pretty chilly in the evenings. Open from 6:30-midnight through Halloween Week. Also on site ZOMBIE PAINTBALL EXPRESS!!! You can shoot zombies with paintballs through the windows while you ride a bus through a post-apocalyptic scene. This is my Call Of Duty dream come true.

Escape Rooms:

  • SAW
Come see if you have what it takes to escape Jigsaw. General Tickets will be paired with other parties. Purchase Private or Private VIP to go with just your own group.
  • Lost Games
The Asylum with 2 chapters and a special Halloween edition. See if you can complete the puzzles and face your fears before the time is up. It's going to be dark, you might have to crawl through stuff. I'm already scared thinking about it. They have VERY low successful escape percentages.

Pumpkin Patch:

  • Halloween Town
    Open Monday - Friday 4pm - 9:30pm, Sat/Sun 11am - 9:30pm
They have carnival rides and games geared towards age 11 and under, bounce houses, slides, photo ops, activities and lots and lots of pumpkins. Entry is FREE all ages all day, rides and games will cost. Day ride passes $20, Season passes $100. Tickets can be purchased for rides and games on location. 3 convenient locations, see link for details.
  • The Gilcrease Orchard
See where the pumpkins are actually grown! The apple picking and other fruits and vegetables usually get all picked out before we get anywhere close to Halloween, but it is still amazing to stroll through the orchard and see where everything grows. They have fresh apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, kettle corn and caramel apples for purchase along with pumpkins. Free and open to the public through October 31st on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays only from 7:00am - 2:00 pm.

No cost and no age limit. People-watching here is an experience in its own right! From the tourists to the street performers! Before you take your young, know that there will be pasties, butt cheeks and sagging you didn't even know was legal to show in public. Fremont Street never closes, so you can enjoy the walk the drinks, the eats (Some restaurants do have hours of operation) and the gaming as much and as long as you want. Safety 101: 5 Tips for Solo Travel to Las Vegas

Getting your whole crew together to come party with you in Vegas can be a challenge! Everyone has a reason to miss out on this trip, whether it's budget, timing, childcare, etc. Sometimes, you have to just catch a flight and take a vacation by yourself! This can be the best time you've ever had, but you have more safety concerns when you're solo than when you're with a crew. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind on your next solo outing in Las Vegas. Stay In Public Areas Las Vegas is among the most popular tourist destinations in America. We do everything we can to make sure your stay is safe, and you feel secure. You can't get into the hotel elevators at most resorts unless you have a room key, Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip) and the Fremont Street Experience are lined with on-duty police officers, and each hotel has their own trained security staff ready to aid any situation (even labor!). Some of our best venues are off the strip. For this, I recommend taking...

My Netflix Obsession: Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker

Since we are all doubling down on social distancing, I am making SURE to do my part by getting my entertainment fix from home by streaming the latest Netflix titles. This week, we streamed Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. This is the filmmaker's adaption of the life of Madam C.J. Walker, one of America's First Black Women to become a millionaire. We open this up with a beautiful moment of sisterhood. Sarah (the Madam) had been having an extremely hard time with life, making an income and was under a tremendous amount of stress. Luckily for her, Annie showed up at the perfect moment to help pick her back up. While this is the sisterhood moment we all hope to have when we are at our lowest, this beautiful friendship doesn't turn out to be that fairytale womanhood bond we'd hoped for. After continuing to be beaten down by what life has thrown her way, the Madam continues to whip up her hair products in her kitchen because she knows that no...

4 Week Fitness: Week 3

Welcome to week 3! We are at the halfway mark and moving past it with a FORCE ! We've got this far and we owe it to ourselves to push through and finish these last 2 weeks. I am already SO PROUD OF US ! Now is the time to lock in our rewards. Whether you are coming to party with me in Vegas for the opening of Encore Beach Club or splurging at your favorite local spot for a stay-cation, do it BIG ! You have earned it . This is a mirror of week 1. I think it's important for our bodies to get at least a little comfortable with the movements we are doing so that we can get the most out of these workouts! Last year, we talked about fitness inspiration and the destructive energy I used to attach to fitspo and why I think I never really kept up with a fitness routine. For me, the energy and the attitude that is behind anything I do is HUGE. I am at the point where I chose, if something doesn't vibe right with me, I'm just not doing it. I would DREAD doing the things...

Sphynx: For The Girl On The Go

This year's Travel Goods Association 's Travel Goods Show '19 has introduced me to so many of my current favorite products! Today, we are talking about the Sphynx razor that you can use for hair removal ANYWHERE! Living in the desert makes shorts, sundresses, tank tops, surprise photo shoots and pool days a part of everyday life. Unfortunately, running around chasing a 1-year-old and taking care of everyone's vacations makes hair removal one of the last things on my to-do list! Lucky for me, I received a goodie bag from the Travel Goods Association at this year's Travel Goods Show that gave me my latest secret weapon! The Sphynx Portable Razor ! I keep this beauty in my bag at all times and it has already saved me from having to miss out on a pool day and the embarrassment of missing a spot trying to rush when wearing one of my favorite dresses. Here's how it works. This little beauty here has everything you need for a shave - a small squirt bottle ...

What to expect in July 2020: Las Vegas After Lock Down

Vegas is OPEN and ready to serve up your next vacation or staycation the way Only Vegas knows how. We are living in a much different time now, so here's what we can expect for a trip to Las Vegas in July. **July 11 Update: Bars, Pubs, etc (see graphic) that do not serve food have all been ordered to close.  First things first, masks are required in all public spaces through the state of Nevada per our latest directive ( see specifics here ). You will have to wear a mask when you are outside of your hotel room in all public spaces. You do not have to wear a mask when doing physical activity like working out, but you will need to wear one on the way to the gym and back. Same with the pool, you do not have to wear one while in the pool, but a mask is required everywhere else including the pool deck. Restaurants, bars, and lounges all have similar rules, masks will be needed while waiting in line to be seated/served but you do not have to wear a mask while eating and drinking. Social ...

Vegas Bound: Christmas In Vegas 2019

Christmas in Las Vegas is really SUCH a magical thing. The Las Vegas strip sprinkles a little bit of holiday magic all over EVERYTHING, and it is so beautiful! All of our usual attractions, like the Bellagio Fountain bring the Christmas cheer with holiday music playing this season. I'd LOVE for the world to start looking at Vegas during the Holiday season, so here's a couple of things to be aware of, what's going on and my recommendations. SO, Vegas is not really less busy during the Holiday Season.  So don’t expect any holiday discounts or extra space it will be the general amount of crowded...if not a bit more! Buffets and full course meal/dine-in options are going to be a little more expensive b/c they are going to be WAY more decked out than usual. It’s cold as all hell here to me right now it’s like in the 50s all week so bundle up for that. But there are SO many things happening, most things are going to be open and at its usual hours except for like our l...
