Vegas Bound: March 2020

It's POOL SEASON! Spring has sprung all over our lovely valley and our favorite pools are in session. Along with double the entertainment & relaxation options with our pools open, St. Patricks day is coming in HOT! This is one of my favorite times to be in Vegas for 2020 so I can not wait to get the festivities started.

Let's get started with the weather. This month is a bit up in the air, we started with perfect 70 degree days, and have started wavering into a much colder rainy 50's and 60's (that's cold to me). Weather data pulled from Accuweather.com. Here's what's happening in Las Vegas this March:

  • Paw Patrol Night at Lazy Dog Restaurant Downtown Summerlin: 31March
    • Tue, March 31, 5PM - 7PM @ Lazy Dog Restaurant
    • Dine on the patio, play games and create your own pup badges! First 50 kids eat free and they are giving away a family pack of tickets to see Paw Patrol is on a roll at the Orleans Arena.

  • Fremont Street Experience
    • March 13-17 @ The entire Fremont Street Experience
    • No cost to enter the area FIVE DAYS OF FOOD, DRINK, MUSIC AND WTF
    • It will be VERY FESTIVE, and Adult oriented from about mid-afternoon on
  • St. Patrick's Day Half Marathon
    • Family-friendly event and Athletes welcome with 1/2 marathon, 12k , 5k and 1 mile runs

  • St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival Henderson
    • March 13-15 From Southern Nevada Sons and Daughters of Erin Free Admission. Carnival Requires Purchase Tickets

Vegas Bound: January 2020 Guide

Welcome to 2020! May this year bring you all the things you have set out for yourself. Hopefully, that includes lots of Vegas time. This list does not include everything that is happening here regularly like the Cirque du solei shows, the daily free shows, sights and things like that. I've just got the big and noteworthy things that are here for the moment and all the club events I could stand to type up. If you are planning a vacation or staycation, book your hotel with my team. We keep rates 20%-30% off nationally advertised rates. I also have rates in cities outside of Las Vegas, so check with us for all of your hotel needs. As of right now, I'm looking at weekend rates of $73 per night+ taxes and fees at the Planet Hollywood for their standard rooms (Ultra Hip King). Let's Go Sailing: Cruising With a Toddler

Cruising with Carnival has become a yearly thing for my mom and I, and this year we extended the tradition a generation by bringing my 1-year-old with us. We went for a 4 day, Halloween cruise from Long Beach with 2 stops - Catalina Island and Ensenada, Baja California. Here's a rundown on going on a cruise with a toddler! First off, we drove from Las Vegas all the way to the Long Beach Terminal so the first leg of our trip was a 4+ hour car ride. I made sure we were fully stocked for the ride over so we wouldn't have to make too many stops and make the ride any longer. Turns out we didn't need anything I packed for the ride because he slept for about 3 1/2 hours and was completely content with his tablet, a juice box, and some cheez-its when he woke up. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ We decided to check our bags instead of dragging them through the ship because we just knew we wanted to grab some food and explore before going back to the room. Mask Monday: Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

It is that wonderful time again where my skin is acting all the way out of control. This time it could be my horrible quarantine diet, stress, hormones, my 2-year-old touching God knows what then rubbing my face...the list of possibilities is endless. Moming In Vegas: Container Park

Kid Friendly Life In Vegas We had our FIRST EVER play date! One of the dopest things about Las Vegas is that there are SO many family-friendly activities. I didn't even know about most of them until I became a mom. Our first date was at the Container Park, a place I thought was only for 21+. Turns out, 21+ is only at night from 9PM to close!  First things first, PARKING. It's downtown so you can get "free" parking at places like Main Street Station if you plan on spending some money at their casino and validate your parking. For me, I don't have a problem dropping some change in the machine right next to where I'm going. DON'T FORGET to leave the ticket in your window, and how long you paid for! Day N Vegas: The Hip Hop Festival Vegas Needs

We've been asking for it, and the people down at GoldenVoice have made it happen! The Rap centered, 3-day Hip-Hop music festival of our DREAMS is coming to Las Vegas November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with Day N Vegas! Here's what we know so far. Vegas has been ready for a huge Hip-Hop festival for a minute and we could not be happier that it is coming!
